Photograph (something) very precious to you.
Go beyond just documenting. Try to create a mood that reflects your feelings. Give us some environment as well to tell a story. Imagine that you are making a film about this object or person and this assignment is a still from the movie set.
Be subtle but clever.
Play with some variations and pick something only if it really enhances the direction you are going.
